Been a While

It's been much too long since my last post, but we have had a busy summer. June ended rocky as July began with my father's passing away. With this sad news, however, came happy news for our family. We are expecting baby number two! He or she will enter the world in February 2011. We are very excited to welcome another baby into the family! Jameson knows there is a baby in mommy's belly and he rubs it and says baby out and kisses it. He is a very sweet big brother already! :)

At the end of July, we went to Disneyland to celebrate my 30th birthday and Jameson's 2nd. It was a wonderful experience to see him take in all that is Disneyland. He loved every ride and wanted more. "Faster, Daddy!" and "More ride." quickly became his most common phrases over the two days at the parks.
He also did outstanding with character visits. He was so excited to see his favorite Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Toy Story pals! He quickly became a pro at running up and hugging them, then turning around for a posed photo and then giving them a high five goodbye. It was all too sweet! He left Disneyland a pirate loving kid. Pirates of the Caribbean was his favorite ride and we rode twice. He now wants everything pirates and while at Disney he and Daddy started the "look for pirates game". He looks everywhere for pirates now, which keeps him busy at the grocery store and other places where he used to be very difficult t manage. It's adorable...he puts his hand up like he is blocking the sun or looking for something, but he has the back of his hand against his forehead. He then says, "Pi-ates here?......Nope" and this continues behind and under everything. lol
After two days at Disneyland and California Adventure, we spent a day at Laguna Beach. Jameson loved the ocean! He kept asking Daddy to take him further into the water and just loved running away as the waves came in. He quickly began saying "ocean water" and "beach". He was very unhappy when it was time to leave.
Our first trip to Disney was a great success and he still asks about going back to "Mickey Park" as he calls it, every couple of days. Such a sweet heart. :)
